Course Scheduling Due Date Responsibility
Course and Classroom Scheduling Services activates online scheduling in SIS. Monday, September 30, 2024 Scheduling
Begin to review and edit previous fall semester's offerings. FC course sections = FC**; FCW*. Monday, September 30, 2024 Department
Deadline to complete online course scheduling and room priority. After this date, submit all course update requests to fc-sched@umd.edu. Continue to use Teacher Collect to input instructor changes. Friday, November 8, 2024 Department

Course Budgeting Due Date Responsibility
Deadline to use Teacher Collect to input instructor changes. After this date, submit all instructor changes to fc-sched@umd.edu. For instructors not currently affiliated with the university system (e.g. Adjuncts) the department must process a non-paid appointment so the instructor can be added in SIS. Overload Approvals Due Date Responsibility

Deadline to submit Overload Approvals: If assigned lecturer is working in an overload capacity, supervisor approval must be obtained. For graduate students: Complete the Graduate Student Overload Assignment Request form with advisor and department graduate director’s signatures. Forward approvals via email to oes-finance@umd.edu. Payroll Appointments Due Date Responsibility
Deadline for department to process non-paid appointment for adjunct instructor. In order to obtain ELMS and SIS access, this appointment must be completed. Friday, June 20, 2025 Department
Deadline to complete appointments for Faculty, TA, and Labor Assistants (hourly) via the employee demographics screen (including previous employment history and Visa screen, if applicable) and degree screen. For “new” or “initial” faculty, complete employee Information, demographic screen, education, and I-9 profile verification in payroll. For “re-employment” faculty appointments (following a break in service), update employee Information, education, email address, and I-9 profile reverification. For employees with J1 or H1 VISA, complete employment history and create and route the J1 or H1 visa transaction. EXST checks credentials in payroll when approving course salaries. Deadline to submit Appointment Transmittal forms for student/hourly employees and teaching assistants by email attachment to EXST Finance at oes-finance@umd.edu. Departments must provide the I-9 profile ID for new/adjunct GA and labor assistants in the I-9 column of the transmittal form, when you submit their information. Instructor deadline to update upcoming term ELMS course space. (Instructors may continue to edit throughout semester). Friday, August 29, 2025 Instructor
Deadline for ELMS course space released to students. Tuesday, September 2, 2025 Instructor
Deadline to verify and submit electronic course rosters. Roster verifications notification emailed from the Registrar's Office, following the end of the schedule adjustment period. Instructors may not permit non-registered students to attend, participate in any course activities, or take exams. Wednesday, September 17, 2025 Instructor and Department

Course-Related Expense Reimbursements Due Date Responsibility
